Cornerstone Concerts and Qualibet is
getting a piece of the live music action this coming February with a hot
concept event for the month-of-hearts entitled “Make Me Sweat: A
Sexy Valentines Show.” This one-night-only show features up and coming singer and
one of today’s hottest TV personalities Markki
Stroem and the iconic dance group G-Force
on a one-of-a-kind pairing.
Recall that Markki Stroem had shown
what he’s made of in front of millions of TV viewers when he made it as
finalist in ABS-CBN’s “Pilipinas Got Talent” back in 2010. The tall,
Fil-Norwegian good looks of Stroem, and not to mention his exceptional singing
and songwriting definitely made him as one of the favorites in PGT. Stroem’s
career is just blossoming and 2012 could be his banner year with his soon to be
released debut album under a major record label. Besides being a first-rate
singer, Stroem also has some acting skills and this he showed during his run as
the character “Henry” in Atlantis Productions theatrical presentation of “Next
To Normal” which he got a best actor nomination in Phil Broadway Awards.
The talented Stroem will parlay all
that showbiz essentials and probably a bit more come February 4, when he is
paired with one of the country’s most in demand dance troupes in TV and concert
scenes.
G- Force, is quite literally, a force
to be reckoned with when the topic of dance is raised. Already a veteran of countless
concerts and TV productions, despite only being at its seventh year in show
business, this talented dance group, led by director Georcelle Dapat-Sy and managing director, Angel Sy, has already
proven its high caliber standards as an A-list dance group. Innovative, hip and
fresh are but some of the adjectives that comes to mind when G- Force is being
described.
So expect it to be a fine balance of
music and dance, and a sexy and gorgeous one at that, as this two pairs off in
an extravaganza that will pit youthful exuberance, good looks and the sexually
appealing persona of Markki Stroem and the naturally sexy and iconic dance
group G- Force in “Make Me Sweat : A Sexy Valentine Show.”
The big
night is on February 4, Saturday at the Music Museum. Action starts at 8 pm.
